When logging in to QuickBooks Desktop 2019, you can choose whether you’d like the Mac Keychain function to store your password.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Checking the “Store Password in Keychain” box ensures that your password automatically populates in the password field the next time you attempt to log in.
- Unchecking this box removes the password in Keychain. In addition, the password field will be blank the next time you attempt to log in.
- It is recommended that you leave this box unchecked if you’re working on a shared computer.
- If you forget your password, click the lock icon next to the “Forgot Password?” text. This will open the Password Reset window. Next, provide your admin information from your QuickBooks license registration to receive a reset code via email. Lastly, provide this code on the following screen to reset the admin password.
